I've had a similar experience, even to the point of looking through old notebooks and finding goals that I had written and "forgotten" about...but realize that they have come to pass, usually in the timeframe I specified.

Writing your goals down is the first commitment and action you make on them, and it truly pays off.

It's amazing how writing down a specific goal with a specific due date can make things happen. I've seen this too many times in my own life when reviewing my goals and noticing how something I wrote down years ago comes to life today.
